I came around a bend in the road when I was driving through the Kenai Mountains many years ago, and there in the middle of the street was a black bear. It was startled, as I was too, and quickly ran to the side of the road and into the trees. I passed by slowly and saw him hiding behind a birch tree peeking at me. Ever since I've always thought of making that interaction into a design. Finally got it out of my head and into fabric!
